  예를 들어 항공 화물을 줄이고, 모든 시설을 재생 가능 에너지로 운영하며, 협력업체들이 이를 따라갈 수 있도록 권장하고 있습니다. 또한 생산 과정에서 물 사용을 줄이고, 유해 화학 물질에 대한 정기적인 위험 평가를 실시하고 있습니다. 더불어 CLO 기술을 활용하여 샘플 과잉 생산을 방지하는 등 시설과 협력업체의 폐기물 최소화에도 주력하고 있습니다. TOTEME은 2030년까지 온실가스 배출량을 42% 감축하고, 공급망에서 모든 유해 화학 물질을 완전히 제거할 것을 목표로 하고 있습니다.

• Animals

  TOTEME은 동물 복지 정책에 따라 공급망의 모든 단계에서 동물 학대를 엄격히 금지하며, 협력업체들에게 영국의 2006년 동물 복지법을 준수할 것을 요구합니다.
  
  또한**야생동식물의 국제 거래에 관한 협약(CITES)** 과 **국제자연보전연맹(IUCN)**의 지침을 따르며, 희귀하거나 멸종 위기에 처한 종의 소재를 사용하지 않음을 보장합니다. TOTEME은 **퍼 프리 리테일러(Fur Free Retailer)**의 회원으로서, 모피 사용과 관련된 가이드라인과 권고사항을 철저히 준수하고 있습니다.

• Materials

  TOTEME은 탄소 발자국을 줄이기 위한 노력의 일환으로, 사용되는 원단과 실의 95%를 해당 공장에서 바로 공급받고 있습니다.
  
  제품에 적합한 소재를 선택할 수 있도록 돕기 위해 Fiber Tool을 활용하며, 주로 선호 섬유를 사용하는 것을 목표로 합니다. 선호 섬유란 자연, 유기농, 재활용, 빠른 재생 가능성 또는 생분해성이 특징이며, 생산 과정에서 환경 및 사회적 조건을 개선하는 데 기여하는 섬유입니다. 현재 사용 섬유의 6%는 재활용, 65%의 울은 Responsible Wool Standard 인증, 재활용 또는 유기농이며, 81%의 면은 유기농입니다.
  
  2021/2022년에는 선호 섬유 사용 비율을 15%에서 46%로 늘렸고, 2022/2023년에는 이를 71%로 확대했습니다. 2023/2024년에는 선호 섬유 사용 비율을 83%로 달성했으며, 2025년까지 모든 섬유를 선호 섬유로 전환할 계획입니다. 또한 환경 영향을 최소화하는 혁신적인 섬유 소재를 지속적으로 탐구하고 있습니다. 최근 사용한 소재로는 CIRCULOSE®(낡은 옷과 생산 폐기물에서 재활용된 면으로 제작)와 Naia™(책임감 있게 조달된 목재 펄프로부터 안전하고 환경 친화적인 화학물질로 제작)가 있습니다.
  
  TOTEME의 가죽은 식품 산업의 부산물로, 농장 조성을 위해 열대우림이 훼손된 지역에서 생산되지 않습니다. 또한, 모든 가죽은 Leather Working Group의 감사를 받은 공급업체로부터 조달되며, 이는 가죽 산업을 위한 표준을 개발하고 장려하는 비영리 단체입니다.
  
  TOTEME의 고급 주얼리는 18kt 재활용 금으로 제작되며, 일부 제품은 윤리적 목적 하에 조달된 다이아몬드로 장식되어 있습니다. TOTEME이 사용하는 모든 다이아몬드는 Kimberley Process 인증을 받아 분쟁과 무관하며, 모든 고급 주얼리 소재는 Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) 및 Chain of Custody (COC) 표준을 준수합니다. 제조업체는 RJC의 Code of Practices (COP) 표준뿐만 아니라 ISO 9001, ISO 45001, S.A.G.O.R.'s Certificazione Aggiuntiva 인증을 받았습니다.
  
  패션 주얼리는 18kt 옐로우 골드 1미크론과 팔라듐 0.5미크론으로 도금된 황동으로 만들어 내구성이 뛰어나고 견고합니다. 제조업체는 RJC의 Code of Practices (COP) 표준 인증서를 보유하고 있습니다.

COMMUNITY

• Working & manufacturing conditions

  As Fair Wear members, we strive to ensure that workers across our supply chain work in fair and safe conditions. Fair Wear carries out regular factory audits on our behalf and also performs a Brand Performance Check to evaluate our practices. We are working with them and our suppliers toward paying a living wage to all workers across our supply chain by 2030.
  
  We work closely with a select group of suppliers in Europe and China, some of whom have collaborated with us for many years. Our fabric and manufacturing suppliers go through strict screening processes and must comply with our policies. To learn who our suppliers are, visit Open Supply Hub.

  Over the past five years TOTEME has supported different charities and non-governmental organizations working to make the world a better place. Some of these include UNICEF, Médecins Sans Frontières, and Rädda Barnen.

• Transparency

  Being transparent about our practices and how we assume our social and environmental responsibility is important to us. We are actively working on publishing our internal policies, reports and data and aim to offer full product traceability across our supply chain by 2025.

• Sustainability engagement

  We are committed to educating and involving our entire community with the work we do to minimize our impact. All of our employees receive training and support on sustainability topics and must also deliver on specific targets. Some examples include our Supply Chain team’s ongoing efforts to reduce emissions from freight transportation; updating and building on our care tips to educate our customers on how to best care for our products; and offering training to our suppliers on human and workers’ rights.
